REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Overview

At The Vedic Puja, we understand that plans can change. This policy explains the refund and cancellation terms for our two services — Puja Bookings and Hotel Bookings. Please read carefully before making a booking.

2. Puja Booking — Cancellation & Refund

A. Cancellation by Customer

B. Rescheduling

• Rescheduling is allowed up to 48 hours before the puja date
• Rescheduling is subject to pandit availability and auspicious muhurat
• Only one free reschedule is allowed per booking
• Second reschedule will be charged ₹200 convenience fee

C. Cancellation by The Vedic Puja

If we cancel your booking due to:

• Pandit unavailability
• Technical or operational issues
• Natural calamity or force majeure

You will receive a 100% full refund within 5–7 business days. We will also offer you a priority rescheduling option.

D. Non-Refundable Items

• Samagri (ritual materials) cost if already purchased or dispatched
• Prasad dispatch charges if already shipped
• Payment gateway transaction charges (typically 2–3%)

3. Hotel Booking — Cancellation & Refund

A. Cancellation by Customer

B. Early Check-out

• Early check-out will not be eligible for any partial refund
• The full booking amount for reserved nights will be charged

C. Cancellation by Hotel/The Vedic Puja

If the hotel cancels or we are unable to confirm your booking:

• You will receive a 100% full refund within 5–7 business days
• We will also help you find an alternate hotel of similar standard

D. Special / Peak Season Bookings

• Bookings made during Navratri, Diwali, Mahashivratri, Shravan Mas, or other peak pilgrimage seasons may have stricter cancellation terms
• These will be clearly mentioned at the time of booking
• Generally no refund within 72 hours for peak season bookings

4. Package Bookings (Puja + Hotel Combined)

• Cancellation of a combined package will follow both policies above applied separately
• If you cancel only the puja portion, the hotel portion remains active and vice versa
• Package discount may be reversed if partial cancellation breaks the package terms

5. How to Request a Refund

Step 1 — Email us at admin@thevedicpuja.in with subject line: “Refund Request — Order #[your order ID]”

Step 2 — Include the following details:

• Your full name
• Registered email or phone number
• Order ID or booking reference
• Reason for cancellation
• Screenshot of booking confirmation (if available)

Step 3 — We will review and respond within 2 business days

Step 4 — Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method

6. Refund Method

We do not issue refunds in cash or to a different account than what was used for payment.

7. Disputes & Chargebacks

• If you raise a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first, we reserve the right to dispute it with evidence of service delivery
• We encourage you to contact us directly at admin@thevedicpuja.in before raising any dispute
• Most issues are resolved within 48 hours when contacted directly

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. It is your responsibility to check this page before booking.
